GB Tech starts Sears and Kmart Pilot sites

In April, GB Tech IT Managed Services was awarded work on the first of a series of pilot sites for Sears and Kmart stores. The first pilot site was one of the Sear’s flagship stores in Chicago. The project was awarded in conjunction with its customers, Velociti and Motorola, and consisted of data cabling and electrical work for wireless systems in the stores. “If awarded to Velociti by Sears after the pilot phase, this project would encompass more than 2000 Sears and Kmart stores across the U.S.,” said Gale Burkett, chairman and CEO, GB Tech.
